Hi it’s been sometime since I wrote a blog this time I’m sharing my finds on Faux leather styles. It’s so in at the moment from seeing styles all over the high street shops and a trend that everyone has fallen in love with.
Look 1 is the River island black pleated faux midi skirt priced at £48.00
This pleated skirt will never date and it is also an investment piece in your wardrobe by dressing it in many different ways. I recommend styling it with a chunky knit and boots, to wearing it also for a evening look with heels and accessories for dressing it up. I have this skirt as I plan to wear this A/W 19 and cannot wait to style this skirt up with existing pieces from my wardrobe.
Look 2 is the faux leather leggings from Zara priced at £29.99
I have a pair of faux leather leggings that I bought last year from Top Shop! I find they do keep you warm over winter and I probably have worn mine only a few times but they will come back out of my wardrobe this year as I have styled mine with a denim shirt and a V Neck jumper and trainers. The Pic below is of me wearing my faux leather leggings last year.
Look 3 is the Faux leather slouchy trousers from Zara at £25.99
I can’t say I hate them or love them! as I wouldn’t know what they would be like on. They have an elasticated waistband with a button can’t tell if they are pull on trousers or if they have a zip fly opening?? so if there are any of you out there that own these I’m sure they look as flattering on as they do on the model but I would be curious to know what the fitting would be like on myself? Although there isn’t a Zara store where I live, I would have to try on alternatives in other stores as River island and Tesco’s in the F&F range do them too!
Look 4 is the Faux leather shirt also from Zara at £29.99
I love the sleeves on this shirt I have not tried nor seen this shirt in reality but I would love to see how this would look on me. Also how would you keep the shirt clean the pros would be that it can easily be wiped down if you had some sort of spillage!!! and the cons faux leathers can not be machine washed? or can they that is a question but I guess not?? so what do you think on double faux leather in wearing this shirt and trousers together, would you go for the whole double faux leather styling? I think personally I would go with wearing the faux leather shirt with a pair of jeans or a pair of trousers and the faux leather trousers I would wear with a t shirt or chunky knit jumper or even a nice blouse with heels for a evening look.
Look 5 is the maroon Faux leather mini skirt from Next at £35.00
I don’t wear mini skirts and I never will but this skirt is one that caught my eye in its maroon faux leather which you will find that all faux leathers do not just come in black. This skirt looks fab on with a roll neck knit and ankle boots or even long boots. Dress it up or down and also add in those accessories by adding a belt which gives a nice touch to the whole look.
Look 6 is the Tan brown button front skirt in faux leather at H&M at £24.99
This skirt I have seen on fashion bloggers the length is a midi length which I love and its also got the buttons going down the front and pocket flaps adding some texture. Again I have not tried this skirt but I think this skirt ticks the boxes for me as it shouts out Autumn, I can picture myself wearing a neutral chunky knit in toning and some long boots. You only really need one or two items of faux leather attire in your wardrobe as an investment in keeping whether its a faux leather skirt, trousers, shirt or dress which I am now moving on to show you on the next look.
Look 7 is the Leather dress from Andotherstories at £299.00
Now this dress is a structured midi leather dress with a pricey price tag! This leather midi collared dress features from its front button closures with an elasticated insert at the waist that cinches the sides in giving you a voluminous A-line skirt silhouette, and those sleeves are so structured in its style and cut. I personally would not be able to afford a dress like this but looking does no harm and this is one investment piece for your wardrobe that would last for many years, and if you are willing to pay this hefty price tag in buying this dress it sure is a classic piece in owning.
so there you have it all 7 looks and finds on leather and faux leather styles. I hope I have inspired or at least given you some style inspo in buying or, even changing your style in investing in some of these pieces as I doubt it won’t go out of fashion as leather is a big trend and everyone is wearing, especially for autumn winter season.
